Les Leopold is the executive director of the Labor Institute and Public Health Institute in New York, and author of The Looting of America: How Wall Street's Game of Fantasy Finance Destroyed Our Jobs, Pensions, and Prosperity—and What We Can Do About It (Chelsea Green, 2009). Huffington Post published an article by Dylan Loewe entitled DEFINING THE GREAT DEPRESSION. Loewe argues convincingly that Obamas quick actions saved the day. He points to the fact that the month Obama was sworn in the economy lost as many jobs as the month before, namely 700000. The credit markets had frozen, car makers and banks needed and received bailouts. Obamas task was to avoid a second great depression. Though major problems still persist, against all odds, despite all obstruction, one year later it appears it worked, the second great depression was averted. Today I want to discuss with you to start your own reality show. And no, I am not talking about anything close to the balloon boy story
